ABOUT ME

- I walked away from science to study something more elusive :

“ the light that lives in people when they finally feel seen."

At 35, I made the kind of decision that frightens and liberates in equal measure. After twelve years in Plant Genetics research, I walked away from everything I had built — not out of recklessness, but out of a quiet, unshakeable knowing. Photography was calling me. And I had learned, by then, that some callings cannot be ignored.

That was eleven years ago. Since then, I have dedicated my life to a single, sacred belief: that every person — every single one — carries a beauty that deserves to be witnessed.

I photograph everyday people. People who arrive nervous, unsure, perhaps never having felt truly seen. And something happens in that space between us — a trust, a tenderness, a permission to simply be. I watch walls come down. I watch shoulders soften. I watch people remember themselves. I watch their confidence flourish in front of my lens and their faces light up when they hold their portraits for the first time — that is my greatest joy. My deepest honor.

To me, a portrait is not an image. It is a door — to recognition, to celebration, to the truth of who you are when no one is asking you to be anything else. I call my work portraits from the heart because the most powerful photograph is not the one you see. It is the one you feel.
