My portrait studio in Innsbruck welcomes men who want to be seen — not just professionally, but as full human beings with stories worth telling.
Despite me often taking photos of everyday women you can also find me photographing men. I work with male clients looking to update acting/modeling portfolios or looking to update their business headshots and personal branding photos but I also photograph male clients who want to celebrate their life and achievements and exist in portraits for themselves and their families. Here I want to share some of the favorite portraits from a studio photo shoot with my awesome client Osman, a registered nurse that wanted to celebrate and document his life in portraits, a tradition that has been in his family for generations. After searching for the right photographer, Osman found me through my social media channels and after a phone consultation we knew we were the perfect match to achieve the type of portraits he was looking for. Osman is a total gentleman, very kind, grounded and is always with a great positive attitude and a smile on his face. I feel so honored I got to meet and photograph this amazing human being. Just like the awesome women I’ve been honored to photograph, the great majority of my male clients have no modeling experience and most of them haven’t been photographed before they visit my studio for the first time. When it comes to posing and getting that natural expression you can rest assured you are in good hands, regardless your experience in front of the camera I will not only make sure you look amazing in your photos but also that you will feel comfortable while having fun and enjoying your photo shoot. I create magazine style portraits in the studio and offer men’s lifestyle shoots that can be in-studio or on-location. Osman opted for a studio-only session with a modern magazine look. I photographed him wearing 6 different looks , here some of his favorites wearing a casual look. Wouldn’t you say he looks great in red?
Osman also brought a traditional cultural outfit to celebrate his heritage — a garment that carried history, identity, and pride in every fold. For this set he wanted fine art portraiture, something that would honour the weight of what he was wearing. These became his absolute favourite portraits. One now hangs as a fine art acrylic print on the wall of his home — a piece of his story made permanent.
