She Almost Cancelled. Then This Happened.
Sheila was weeks away from turning 40 when she walked into our photo studio for the first time. She told me the same thing almost every woman tells me: that the women in my portraits look so confident — and that she wished she could feel that way too. What she didn't know yet was that the confidence was already there. It had always been there. She just needed someone to show her where to look.
68, Fabulous, and Done Apologising for It
Michelle's husband knew something she had forgotten — that she deserved to be celebrated. So he gave her a gift certificate for a glamour portrait session. What happened next was not just beautiful photographs. It was a woman of 68 standing in front of a camera, fully herself, without apology — and finally seeing what everyone around her had always seen.
She Didn't Think She Was Worth It. The Photos Said Otherwise
For 45 years, Erika avoided cameras. At work, she turned down media interviews. In family photos, she hid behind others. Not because she lacked courage — she had plenty of that. But because somewhere along the way, she had decided that her face was not worth seeing. Then she found the 40 Over 40 project. And everything she believed about herself had to be reconsidered.
