What began as a portrait studio in Innsbruck has evolved into a destination experience for women from across Europe. Through my Europe portrait commissions, I welcome women who are ready to celebrate their journey, embrace their confidence, and be seen in a way they may never have experienced before.

Belinda ist selbst Fotografin. Sie kennt die Sprache des Lichts, die Stille vor dem Klick, die Wahrheit, die ein Objektiv findet. Beim 40 Über 40 Fotoshooting in Innsbruck mit Mayumi Acosta Photography trat sie zum ersten Mal auf die andere Seite — und entdeckte etwas, das sie fast vergessen hatte.

Nicht im schnellen Blick in den Spiegel. Nicht in den Fotos, die du löschst, weil sie sich nicht gut genug anfühlen. Sondern wirklich gesehen — so, wie die Menschen dich sehen, die dich lieben. Vielleicht ist 2026 nicht das Jahr der großen Veränderungen. Vielleicht ist es das Jahr, in dem du anfängst, dich selbst mit den Augen zu sehen, mit denen andere dich längst betrachten.

Es gibt einen Moment im Leben jeder Frau, in dem sie erkennt, dass sie für andere gelebt hat. Für Caroline kam dieser Moment mit 60. Sie reiste aus Holland nach Innsbruck — nicht um jemand Neues zu werden, sondern um endlich die Frau zu sehen, die immer schon da war. Was sie mitnahm, war mehr als schöne Portraits. In ihren eigenen Worten: „Ich habe ein Stück Selbstschätzung bekommen."

Almut ist 75 Jahre alt. Sie malt, tanzt, choreografiert, gestaltet Rituale, praktiziert Tai Chi — und hat gerade erst beschlossen, gesehen zu werden. Als sie in unser Studio in Innsbruck trat, brachte sie nicht nur sich selbst mit. Sie brachte ein ganzes Leben voller Weisheit, Mut und künstlerischer Schönheit mit. Was wir gemeinsam erschaffen haben, ist mehr als ein Portrait. Es ist ein Zeugnis dafür, dass das strahlendste Kapitel in jedem Alter beginnen kann.

Ingrid war 55 und hatte noch nie ein professionelles Fotoshooting gemacht. Sie dachte, das sei nichts für sie — bis sie an einem Morgen in unser Studio in Innsbruck trat, nervös und aufgeregt zugleich. Was dann geschah, überraschte uns beide. Mit jedem Klick der Kamera erblühte sie mehr. Furchtlos. Strahlend. Ganz sie selbst. Das sind die Momente, für die ich Fotografin geworden bin.

There are moments when words fail. When they scatter before you can gather them into meaning. This photography project was born from exactly those moments — from a year of navigating solitude, loss, and the storms of change after moving to a new country. Through the lens of a camera and the body of a dancer, I tried to give form to what I could not speak. What emerged was not just a project about struggle. It was a map back to myself.

Christine turned 40 during the pandemic. No celebration. No moment to mark who she had become — a nurse, a mother, a woman who had spent years putting everyone else first. So she did something she had never done before. She walked into a photography studio, stood in front of a camera, and gave herself the celebration she deserved. What she saw in those photographs surprised even her.

April had always been modest, even self-conscious about her body. Then she became pregnant — and something shifted. She arrived at the studio glowing, open, and ready to be seen in a way she had never allowed before. What she saw in her portraits moved her to tears. In her own words: "I was looking at myself with what felt like a fresh pair of eyes and felt so proud and so beautiful.

Meghan Wright had been making soap by hand for over twenty years. She had beautiful product photography. What she didn't have was a single professional image that showed the woman behind the craft — her passion, her artistry, her story. That is what we went to work on together in the studio. This is what happened when the face finally met the brand.
